Our aim is to helping children learn and education which will help them lead to a better and sustainable life.

Supported the Learning Process (Books sponsored for 150+ students) - Poverty we believe is not much related to hunger but its a consequence of being uneducated thus making the children in capable of coping up with problems in the life related to their social or financial status. In an effort of help the underprivileged kids in understanding the value of the learning process, Few dreams visited a couple of schools this year. Lessons and guided classes were conducted by Few Dream members and volunteers. We sponsored books and educational needs for over 150+ children in 2 Government schools.

3 years @ Few dreams May 2011

Feeling very happy to write this blog today as we have completed 3 successful years for FEW DREAMS.

We started this group in May 1st 2008 with no idea on how to go ahead or what to do or where to start?Only thing we have in mind is to start a group and start doing good things.

As the time moved on, many helping hands and thinking minds came together as one, making the group big in terms of members and contributions.

Now we are in a stage where we are planning many events across the year in different schools.

Thank you all for your support.

Jan 26th Celebrations - Hulimangala Govt School - 2011

Starting this blog for the year wishing you all a happy new year.

All things were set ready and all of us assembled morning a silk board junction, bangalore at 7.15 AM. From there all of us headed to the school. Weather was good and all us enjoyed the ride going away from the city into a small village with full greenery around us. Reached the school by sharp 8 AM in the morning. We were able to see only a few kids in the school as we were early than the scheduled time. By 8.30 all the kids were in and the toughest problem we had there is arranging the flag post and the flag tied to it. Finally we put in all our efforts to arrange the flag post and the guest for the day was our friends mother and it was a wonderful oppurtunity for her to hoist the flag.

She hoisted the flag and still the flag was not waving in the sky as it had one other knot which need to be released. At last, it was a 5th class guy who climbed onto the flag post and released the knot. Every one saluted the flag and sang National Anthem. There were some traditional perfomances like Kolatam by the girls in the school. We also had the village level heads in the function. Sashank and Nikhil gave a nice speech to the kids in the school giving the message to them - Study well and we are there to support them. Village level heads distributed the sweets to kids and left the school.

We made all the kids quickly assemble in the class rooms and started the drawing competition. Most of them drew a village/house sideby a mountain and river. It was a nice participation from all the kids drawing different things. Collected all the sheets from them and our volunteers are the panel to decide the first and second prizes. In the mean , we were interacting with the kids asking them what they want to become in future. Many of them wanted to become doctors, engineers, police, heroes, dancers.

Distributed prizes to the winners in the drawing competition and also a special prize for Akash, a ahandicapped. All of them were happy receiving the prizes. All of us enjoyed the clap show by kids making different sounds from claps and this was the special attraction for the day. Distributed chocolates and biscuits for them and concluded the event. Took a group photo with all the kids and left the school.

Special thanks to all the people who were present for the day. Sunil, Ravi, Swaroop, Sashank, Sravan, Guha, Nikhil, Lakshmi, Geeta, Santosh, Kriti, keerthi, dhana laskhmi, Radha Krishna, Vinay, Tanisha, Ullas are some of our members for the day.
